4A - Ms. Alford and Mrs. Gore
Dear Parents,
We are excited to welcome you to 4A and a new school year at Archway Lincoln! We will be co-teaching your child’s class this year for 4th grade and are looking forward to meeting you and your child at the beginning of a thrilling new school year.
This will be Mrs. Gore’s fourth year teaching 4th grade at Lincoln. Prior to teaching here, she taught her 5 children at home. She is honored to have been at Lincoln from its start and looks forward to collaborating with her colleagues again this year to provide your children with a rigorous, highly formative, and enjoyable year.
Ms. Alford has been at Archway Lincoln for four years, and this is her first year as a lead teacher. She has loved teaching history for the past two years and looks forward to teaching history and English to 4A this year! Ms. Alford absolutely loves reading and looks forward to passing on her love of books to her students this year.
Our fourth grade curriculum is rigorous and interesting. Your child will be studying subjects that range from the Middle Ages to meteorology, phonograms to fractions, narration to navigation, and many things in between. Ms. Alford and Mrs. Gore look forward to helping your child transition from third grade to fourth grade smoothly, while teaching them the organization and communication skills they will need to succeed as they move forward in school.
Our goal is for this to be an enjoyable, productive, challenging, and encouraging year for all our students.
Please note the following important information:
August 2 - 2018/2019 School Year Begins (doors open at 7:45 a.m., the day begins at 8:05 a.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of school to ensure that your child has enough time to successfully prepare for their day)
Lunches:
No hot lunches will be served until August 13th, so please be sure to pack a snack, a lunch, and non-disposable water bottle for your child each day.
Labeling and Supplies:
Please label your child’s non-disposable water bottle and lunchbox with their name.
Please label your child’s outer wear with their name (sweaters, pullovers, etc.)
Please clearly label your child’s notebooks, folders, pencil pouches, colored pencils/markers, and all books from the consumables list.
We send out weekly updates and information on our blog. Content-specific information will be posted on the fourth grade blog, while individual classroom requests will be posted on our classroom’s blog. Please sign up to receive updates.
